Home Remodel: Banquette, Laundry/Mud Room, & Basement Bar

We recently completed a series of home remodeling projects for our client in Clarendon Hills. They were looking for functionality, style, and a little bit of entertaining.

Casual dining was essential (since they already had a formal dining room) and efficient use of space. We created this custom, corner banquette complete with hinged seating that would enable storage.

Next, they were looking for a space that would be utilized as a laundry / mud room. This space was ideal for them – it was located right off of the garage and enabled us to create this custom locker cabinet, complete with shoe storage, a bench, locker for jackets and coats, and cubbies. On the opposite side of the room we created custom, upper cabinetry for laundry items and also left room for side-by-side washer and dryer.

The last component of the home remodeling project was the basement. To cut down on costs, we were able to utilize stock cabinetry for most of the bar area, with motion detection under cabinetry lighting, glass tile backsplash, and finished with a custom bar top and corbels, which resulted in this handsome bar area – perfect for entertaining.
