Eclectic Style Exterior Remodel—Perfect for this Cottage Community

Our Glen Ellyn client was now looking to update their exterior after doing multiple projects inside with Hyland Homes. The previous siding material was a combination of cedar shake, vinyl, and aluminum. Our clients were looking to bring the eclectic style of the interior to the exterior of the home. They chose a LP product for the exterior that included horizontal boards and board/batten to break up the monotonous long runs. Once we demoed all of the siding we uncovered the original cedar of the original house with this blue finish. They loved the color and decided to take a bold move by doing a color match on the new siding.

We also came up with the design to install cedar tongue and groove (with various finishes that will fade and meld over time) on all of the East sides of the house that could be seen from the street. Along with that we trimmed out of the windows with a mitered cedar, and installed a new deck and black windows off the back. Do you have an exterior remodel you are itching to do?
