Hyland Homes recently completed a stunning coastal home remodeling project in Clarendon Hills, IL, transforming a hodgepodge style into a cohesive, breezy sanctuary coastal home. The homeowners, inspired by their time living in Connecticut, wanted to bring coastal design elements into their space while improving functionality and flow.

This transformation included a complete exterior makeover with a cedar shake roof, copper gutters, functional shutters, and a square window above the front door for a clean, coastal aesthetic. Inside, we brightened the home with white oak hardwood flooring, expanded cased openings, and airy kitchen updates, including paneled white oak appliances and a bold yet elegant design.

The project also addressed critical functionality:

• A reimagined Jack and Jill bathroom with heated floors, expanded space, and a sleek shower.
• A master bathroom overhaul, featuring a freestanding tub and custom cabinetry.

From the shiplap accents in the staircase to the inviting fireplace on the screen porch, every detail in this remodel was designed to reflect the casual elegance of coastal living.
