Basement Remodel in Elmhurst, Illinois

Finishing and Bathroom Remodel

Our clients in Elmhurst were ready to renovate the basement in their Elmhurst home. Functionality, style, and budget were all important in this remodel.

We remodeled the bathroom with five different tiles that worked remarkably together (kudos to the homeowners’ picks!), white and black inspired, black grid shower glass, and brass accents.

The remaining floors throughout the basement we decided to cover the concrete with with blue epoxy completed by Broad Leaf. We installed new doors, base, and case throughout the basement. We refinished the existing stair treads and painted the risers to a dark gray to match the gray we sprayed on the exposed ceiling.

We finished the family area with shiplap on the bump out to create a focal point, installed knotty alder floating shelves in the corner and matching bench seat with flip up top for storage.

Special thanks to Wheatland Custom Cabinetry & Woodwork for providing basement cabinetry and shiplap work.
